Hey, I’m Josh — a Credit Readiness & Strategy Coach, and founder of Credit Gains LLC.If you’re feeling overwhelmed, embarrassed, or just confused about how credit actually works, you’re in the right place.My relationship with credit hasn’t always been perfect. I first damaged my credit in college simply because I didn’t understand what I was signing up for — enjoying approvals and purchases without realizing how interest, utilization, and collections really worked. Years later, after rebuilding with guidance and finally gaining access to financial opportunities again, my credit took another hit during a period of divorce and major life instability. That second experience changed everything. I realized that being told what to do wasn’t enough — I needed to understand why the system worked the way it did so I could stay resilient when life got messy again.Alongside my personal journey, I’ve spent over 10 years working inside the consumer credit ecosystem, including 7 years in a leadership role at an organization focused on helping people strengthen their credit profiles and expand their financial opportunities. Today I combine that real-world industry experience with practical coaching to help clients reduce shame, build true credit literacy, and create sustainable strategies that support long-term borrowing confidence.Whether you’re starting from zero and want to build credit for the first time, rebuilding after setbacks, or preparing for important goals like renting, buying a car, or planning for a home, my approach is rooted in education and realistic progress.
